Teaching Volunteer

HUManity is a registered NGO working towards ensuring holistic development of the children living in child care institutions. We have registered under AP Societies Act in 2019 and are currently associated with seven Child Care Institutions in Visakhapatnam impacting 250 children through the efforts of our 60 passionate volunteers. Children from these CCIs undergo multiple programs such as: A) Impacting Education 1. Foundation Program: A three-hour weekly program that aims at attaining the required foundational level for every child and enables their everyday school learning process. 2. Exposure Program: A bi-weekly program to imbibe life skills into children and strengthen the basics learned in the foundation program. 3. Library Project: This project envisages setting up a mini-library in the premises of the shelter home to inculcate the habit of reading among the children. B) Improving the Living conditions: Project Renovate: This program aims at profiling the CCIs and making essential changes in the infrastructure and amenities in them so as to meet the norms by the Juvenile Justice Act 2015.
