Danirasa Foundation Empowering Women, Nurturing Communities Danirasa Foundation is a Chennai-based Non-Profit Organization dedicated to empowering women from disadvantaged communities, promoting environmental sustainability, and fostering positive social change. Established in 2016 with a vision to create a more equitable and compassionate society, Danirasa achieves its goals through various impactful initiatives. Danirasa Foundation, a beacon of hope in the heart of Chennai, was born from a tragic event. The devastating 2015 Chennai floods inspired its founders, Dhanraj Sivaprakasam and Indu Priya Dhanraj, to take action. Witnessing the immense suffering and the urgent need for support, they mobilized volunteers to cook and distribute food to flood-affected families. This experience ignited a passion to create a sustainable solution to address hunger and malnutrition. Empowering Women, Empowering Communities: • Tailoring Classes: One of the core pillars of Danirasa Foundation is women empowerment. Recognizing the potential of women to drive social change, the foundation offers free tailoring skills training to underprivileged women. This initiative empowers them to become financially independent and contribute to their families' well-being. Free tailoring skills training is offered to single mothers, widows and destitute women living below the poverty line. Upon successful completion, graduates receive course completion certificates, equipping them to start their own tailor
