Seema Shirsat and Yashodhan Bhorde Receive "Real Heroes of Society Award" In a recent patriotic awards ceremony featuring high-ranking military and police officials, as well as renowned music maestro Abhijit Bhattacharya, Seema Shirsat and Yashodhan Bhorde were honored with the esteemed "Real Heroes of Society Award." Seema Shirsat has been recognized for her tireless efforts to enhance the lives of underprivileged children living in slums. With a notable background as a teacher with the NGO Children's Rights in Goa, Shirsat received numerous accolades for her work. In 2020, amidst the pandemic, she co-founded the Childartprodigy Foundation in Vishalnagar, Pune, alongside her daughter Smruti Shirsat. The foundation addresses the educational needs of underprivileged children, particularly those lacking access to remote learning technology. The NGO, officially registered in October 2023, provides free education and organizes global art exhibitions featuring children's artwork. Notably, their recent exhibition at the Dacia Gallery in New York City in June 2024 received significant attention. Yashodhan Bhorde was also awarded the "Real Heroes of Society Award" for his unwavering commitment to fundraising for the Childartprodigy Foundation. With an MBA in Human Resources, Bhorde is instrumental in overseeing various NGO activities, ensuring its continued impact and success.
